Things to Know When Renting a Projector

The intensity of LCD projectors is measured in units called lumens. High lumen LCD projectors are usually used for large audiences such as a general session at a convention or for a staged event. These high lumen projectors require adequate distance between the projector and the screen and will emit noticeable heat. Low lumen LCD projectors are more applicable for a small meeting where lighting can be controlled. Other things which will affect image quality include the projection surface, ambient light, and the viewing angle of the audience (those off to the side). You will probably need a power strip nearby and make sure that your computer or video source is close to the LCD projector.
